The project will be run by the District Tourism Promotion Corporation Society. By booking in advance, anyone from anywhere can get married here at a destination wedding. While Kumarakom and Alappuzha already host destination weddings, this will be the first official destination wedding centre managed by the Department of Tourism.

The centre will provide accommodations, seafood, traditional Kerala cuisine, and a nightlife hub. The beach is currently being beautified as part of the project. Additionally, there are plans to construct an amusement park, AI game center, food park, coffee and snack centre, outdoor game zone, 3D light show, fish spa, and more. As per reports, there will be a food street included in the plan, which will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight. Moreover, plans are in place to start water sports activities, like jet skiing and speed boat rides, at Shankhumugham Beach.
